Geotechnical Investigation for the Fishery Harbour –Galle (2014)

The Ministry of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development is proposing to construct a new jetty at its Galle Fishery Harbour premises due to the inadequacy of the existing berthing facilities. Sri Lanka Ports Authority is the Project Consultant.

As per the details provided, the project is to construct a new 10m wide jetty extending 60m in to the sea from a location of the existing quay wall. The surface of this extension would be a concrete slab which will be used for both anchoring of boats and the movement of lorries to and from the harbor.
